Nutrition Education Reinforcement Items (NERI) are take-home items for participants that reinforce your SNAP-Ed programming. They include a variety of items promoting fruit and vegetable consumption and physical activity. (See the order form to view the items.) NERI include SNAP-Ed core messages and are a no-cost resource available for MFF SNAP-Ed Partners to share with program participants. To place your order, complete the NERI Order Form (fillable PDF updated on 10/3/16) and submit it to your MFF SNAP-Ed Project Manager. Please allow three weeks for processing and delivery. If you would like assistance determining the NERI best suited to your SNAP-Ed objectives, please contact your project manager.
Subrecipients of SNAP-Ed funding are responsible for understanding many programming, administrative, and fiscal parameters that govern their SNAP-Ed funding at the Michigan Fitness Foundation. Each fiscal year, MFF prepares a SNAP-Ed Programming and Operations Manual to clarify many of these parameters.
Civil Rights training is mandatory each fiscal year for all frontline staff and those who supervise frontline staff through the Michigan Fitness Foundation (MFF) SNAP-Ed funding. “Frontline staff” refers to anyone who interacts with SNAP-Ed participants.
